Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-14
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of internationaldrivingauthority.com and the purchase of the IDA Driver's License Translation (IDA-DLT) offered by International Driving Authority ("IDA," "we," "us"), a brand operated by PATHWAY TRAVEL PTE. LTD. (UEN 202401009W, a Singapore private company limited by shares wholly owned by International Automobile Authority LLC). By placing an order and ticking the acceptance checkbox at checkout, you agree to these Terms. "Authority" in our brand name is a trade-name reference to our parent entity, International Automobile Authority LLC; it does NOT signify governmental, regulatory, or licensing authority of any kind. We do not issue documents; we provide certified translations.
1. Parties and scope
- These Terms form a legally binding contract between you (the "Customer") and PATHWAY TRAVEL PTE. LTD., a Singapore private company limited by shares having Unique Entity Number 202401009W (the "Company," "we," "us," "our"), wholly owned by International Automobile Authority LLC (Florida, USA), operating the brand "International Driving Authority."
- These Terms apply only to individual retail customers. B2B and travel-agency engagements are governed by separately-signed written agreements negotiated directly with our team. These retail Terms of Service apply only to individual retail customers; they do not govern B2B engagements unless a B2B agreement expressly incorporates them.
2. Acceptance mechanism
- You accept these Terms by ticking the acceptance checkbox at checkout ("clickwrap"). Your tick is a legally effective electronic signature under the US ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).
- The contract is concluded when we display the order-confirmation page and email you an order confirmation. No customer account is created — IDA uses one-time checkout only.
3. Pre-checkout acknowledgement
At checkout, you must tick the following combined acknowledgement before completing your order:
“I am 18 years of age or older and hold a valid domestic driver’s license. I have read and agree to the Terms of Service, Disclaimer, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and all associated policies of International Driving Authority. I understand that International Driving Authority provides a certified translation of my valid driver’s license, formatted in accordance with the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic and the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, and that this document is not issued by any government or motoring association.”
You may not complete your purchase without ticking this acknowledgement.
4. Product description and eligibility
- Product. The IDA-DLT is a certified translation of your valid domestic driver's license, available as Digital Only (PDF) or Print + Digital (PDF + passport-sized booklet + credit-card-sized ID card), in one of 12 languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Korean, Arabic, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese), for vehicle classes A, B, C, D, and E that match your domestic license.
- Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid (non-expired) domestic driver's license. Eligibility is further described in our Age and Eligibility Policy.
- Customer acknowledgements. You acknowledge the IDA-DLT is not a government document; not an International Driving Permit (IDP); does not replace your original driver's license; must always be carried alongside your original driver's license; and that acceptance by any foreign authority, vehicle rental company, or law-enforcement officer is at their sole discretion.

7. Delivery terms
- Digital IDA-DLT. Delivered by email (attachment and download link). Standard digital delivery: 1–12 hours from order. VIP digital delivery: approximately 5 minutes from order. Digital support operates 24/7 and digital delivery has no cutoff.
- Physical IDA-DLT. Produced in 1–2 business days. Production operates in three regional facilities — United States (US Eastern Time, 9 AM–2 PM, Monday–Friday), China (China Standard Time, 9 AM–2 PM, Monday–Friday), and United Kingdom (UK local time, 9 AM–2 PM, Monday–Friday). Orders received outside a region's business hours are picked up by the next operational region on the next business day. Holiday closures of two or more consecutive days in one region are covered by the remaining regions with no customer-visible delay.
- Shipping after production: Standard Shipping ($9) via local postal services, 15–30 working days, with tracking. Express Shipping ($29) via FedEx, 3–7 days, with tracking. DHL or UPS may be used for certain routes where FedEx or local postal coverage is insufficient.
- Address restrictions. We do not ship to PO Boxes or military (APO/FPO) addresses. Hotels, Airbnbs, and business addresses are permitted. Brazil shipments require a CPF (tax number).
- "Completed" means shipped, not delivered. Delivery ETAs are carrier-dependent estimates and not guarantees.
- See our Shipping and Delivery Policy for complete terms, including restricted countries and customs.
8. Customer obligations
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information, including legible JPG or PNG photographs of your domestic driver's license (front and back) and a passport-style selfie.
- You must not submit another person's documents, create duplicate orders to abuse chargeback processes, or circumvent sanctions screening.
- You acknowledge your typed or drawn electronic signature is legally binding under the ESIGN Act and UETA.
9. Manual review and cancellation workflow
- Every application is manually reviewed before fulfillment. If issues are found (poor photo quality, inconsistent information, potential fraud indicators), we will contact you by email. You may correct and resubmit within the same order at no additional charge.
- If you do not respond within 5–7 calendar days, the order will be refunded and the digital IDA-DLT (if previously issued) will be invalidated (QR code will show "permit not valid").
10. Refund and cancellation
Refund and cancellation rights are set out in full in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your non-waivable statutory rights under local consumer-protection law.
10.1 EU / UK and other statutory withdrawal rights
EU and UK consumers, and consumers in other jurisdictions with mandatory withdrawal rights, retain those rights under applicable law. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy and § 7 (Your statutory rights are preserved) of that policy for details.
11. Intellectual property
- IDA retains all rights in the IDA-DLT booklet design, watermarks, translation templates, QR-code infrastructure, website, and related materials.
- You retain all rights in your uploaded identity documents and selfie. You grant IDA a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use those materials solely to produce, deliver, replace, and support your IDA-DLT as contemplated in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- Unauthorized reproduction, resale, or tampering with the IDA-DLT booklet, card, or PDF is prohibited.
12. Acceptable use
Your use of the service is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy.
13. Prohibited conduct
Without limiting the Acceptable Use Policy, you must not:
- Submit another person's documents or impersonate another person;
- Use the service to commit or facilitate fraud;
- Place duplicate orders to manipulate chargeback outcomes;
- Resell IDA-DLTs to third parties;
- Attempt to circumvent OFAC, Airwallex Scout, or other sanctions or fraud controls.
14. Chargebacks
Our complete chargeback and fraud-prevention rules are set out in § 23 (Chargebacks and fraud prevention) of these Terms. Key consequences: fraudulent chargebacks may result in order cancellation, IDA-DLT invalidation, and restriction across all brands operated by PATHWAY TRAVEL PTE. LTD. (UEN 202401009W, a Singapore private company limited by shares wholly owned by International Automobile Authority LLC).
15. Warranties and disclaimers
- Except for the express guarantees set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy (the Rejection Guarantee and the Replacement Guarantee) and any non-excludable consumer guarantees, the service and the IDA-DLT are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- We disclaim, to the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
- Acceptance of the IDA-DLT by any third party — including foreign authorities, vehicle rental companies, and law-enforcement officers — is at their sole discretion and is not warranted by IDA.
- Non-excludable statutory rights preserved. Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits, or modifies any mandatory consumer right you may have under applicable law, including (without limitation) EU Directive 2011/83/EU, EU Directive 2019/770 (Digital Content Directive), the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Australian Consumer Law (including the non-excludable guarantees under section 64), Brazil's Código de Defesa do Consumidor, Canadian provincial consumer-protection laws, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986, UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection, and the KSA Consumer Protection Law. Where any of those laws grants you a right more generous than these Terms provide, that right applies.
16. Limitation of liability
- Subject to § 15(4), and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IDA's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service or the IDA-DLT, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim and (b) US $100.
- Neither party is liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
- This section does not apply where liability cannot be lawfully excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
17. Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, without notice, if you (a) breach these Terms, (b) submit fraudulent information, (c) initiate a chargeback without first contacting support in good faith, or (d) use the Service in a manner that creates legal or operational risk for us or for other customers.
- Termination does not waive any obligation you owe us at the time of termination, including payment, indemnification, and the limitations of liability, which survive termination.
- Upon termination we will, subject to our retention schedule in the Privacy Policy, continue to hold your order records to the extent required by law and to honour any outstanding Rejection Guarantee or Replacement Guarantee claim.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless International Automobile Authority LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any third-party claim arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misrepresentation or misuse of the IDA-DLT, or (c) your submission of another person's documents.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without reference to its conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence that cannot be contracted out of.
20. Dispute resolution — binding arbitration with class-action waiver
- Agreement to arbitrate. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the service, or the IDA-DLT will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre ("AAA") under its SIAC Rules 2025 (7th Edition). The consumer filing fee is capped at US $225, with the remainder paid by IDA.
- Class-action waiver. You and IDA each waive the right to bring any claim as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, or representative action.
- 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement (§ 20(1)) and the class-action waiver (§ 20(2)) by sending written notice within 30 days of your first purchase to hello@internationaldrivingauthority.com or to International Automobile Authority LLC, 105 Cecil Street, #18-18, The Octagon, Singapore 069534 (Wholly owned by International Automobile Authority LLC, Florida, USA), stating your name, order number, and intent to opt out. Opting out does not affect any other provision of these Terms.
- Mass-arbitration protocol. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by the same counsel or in coordinated fashion within a 60-day window, the parties will use a bellwether and batching process: an initial set of bellwether cases will proceed to arbitration, the parties will participate in global mediation after bellwether awards, and remaining cases will be batched in groups with staged fees. This protocol does not extend any limitations period.
- Foreign-consumer carve-out. Nothing in this § 20 waives non-waivable rights you may have under your local law. Without limitation:
- EU consumers retain the rights conferred by Articles 17–19 of Brussels I Recast Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (jurisdiction in the consumer's domicile) and by the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU;
- UK consumers retain the rights conferred by section 74 of the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015;
- Brazilian consumers retain the rights conferred by Article 51 of the Brazilian Código de Defesa do Consumidor (including the right to sue at the consumer's domicile under Article 101);
- Quebec residents retain the rights conferred by Article 11.1 of the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, which voids arbitration clauses in consumer contracts;
- Australian consumers retain the rights conferred by the Australian Consumer Law, including the non-excludable guarantees under section 64.
21. Export compliance and sanctions
You represent that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or a national of any country or region subject to comprehensive US sanctions (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine), and that you are not on any US government denied-party list. Additional restricted destinations are listed in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.
22. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes require re-acceptance at your next purchase. The effective date at the top reflects the current version.
23. Chargebacks and fraud prevention
23.1 Fraud-prevention controls
We operate the following controls to protect customers and our payment ecosystem:
- Airwallex Scout and sanctions screening (MAS-required for Singapore principal; residual OFAC exposure where USD-clearing leg or US parent is implicated) at the payment layer. Every transaction is evaluated by Airwallex’s fraud-detection engine and cross-checked against US sanctions lists. Transactions associated with comprehensively-sanctioned jurisdictions (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine) or with flagged payment patterns are declined automatically.
- 3D Secure 2 (3DS2). High-risk authorizations are subject to a 3DS2 step-up challenge at the payment layer.
- Manual review. Every order is reviewed by a trained expert reviewer before fulfillment. Reviewers may request additional verification or cancel suspicious orders. Our trained expert reviewers check uploaded documents with the assistance of AI tools to detect fraud and verify identity; the final decision is always made by a human.
- Identity verification. We rely on customer-submitted photographs of the domestic driver's license (front and back), a passport-style selfie, and an electronic signature. Automated biometric processing assists human review; see the Biometric Data section of our Privacy Policy.
- Device and IP signals. We retain IP, device, and cookie information to detect repeat fraud patterns.
- Velocity, duplicate-order, and geolocation checks at the application and payment layers.
23.2 Billing descriptor
- Charges from IDA appear on your credit-card or bank statement as
internationaldrivingauthority. - If you do not recognise a charge, please contact hello@internationaldrivingauthority.com before initiating a chargeback. We can usually provide order details within one (1) business day.
23.3 Evidence-based chargeback response
- When a chargeback is filed, we respond through Airwallex on an evidence basis. Evidence typically includes:
- order records, including IP and device metadata;
- proof of delivery (tracking events for physical orders; delivery logs for digital orders);
- your acceptance of these Terms and the pre-checkout acknowledgement (§ 3) that the IDA-DLT is not a government-issued document or an International Driving Permit;
- communications history, including support tickets and live-chat transcripts.
- Under our Refund and Cancellation Policy, many common disputes are resolved through ordinary refund channels without a chargeback. We encourage customers to contact support first.
23.4 Fraudulent chargebacks
- A chargeback is fraudulent when the cardholder has received the goods or services as described but nonetheless disputes the transaction.
- IDA may contest fraudulent chargebacks with the evidence described in § 23.3.
- Fraudulent chargebacks may result in:
- cancellation of the order in question;
- IDA-DLT invalidation (the QR code will show the document as “not valid”);
- restriction across all brands operated by PATHWAY TRAVEL PTE. LTD. (UEN 202401009W, a Singapore private company limited by shares wholly owned by International Automobile Authority LLC) (blacklist);
- reporting to Airwallex, payment networks, and, where warranted, law enforcement; and
- civil claims for amounts owed and reasonable costs, to the extent permitted by law and our governing-law terms.
23.5 Third-party fraud
If you believe your payment details have been used fraudulently to purchase from IDA, please contact hello@internationaldrivingauthority.com immediately with the order number (if known) and the date of the transaction. We will investigate, refund where appropriate, and cooperate with your card issuer and with law enforcement.
23.6 Legal basis and standards
- We operate in line with the Airwallex Services Agreement (as the payment processor’s operational counterparty), Singapore Penal Code 1871 fraud provisions, Singapore Computer Misuse Act 1993, the Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (CPFTA), and — for US-facing matters where relevant — the FTC Act § 5 prohibition on deceptive practices.
- Our investigation and sharing of fraud-related personal data is documented in our Privacy Policy. Sharing with Airwallex, card networks, and law enforcement is based on legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligation.
24. General
- Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Shipping and Delivery Policy, Disclaimer, Country Acceptance Disclaimer, Acceptable Use Policy, DMCA Policy, Age and Eligibility Policy, Contact and Legal Notice, Affiliate Program Terms, and Accessibility Statement, constitute the entire agreement.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. IDA may assign to a successor entity on notice.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure or delay due to causes beyond reasonable control, including war, natural disaster, customs seizure, carrier failure, or government action.
- Notices. Notices to IDA must be sent to hello@internationaldrivingauthority.com or to the registered address below.
25. Affiliate disclosure
If you arrived at our site through an affiliate link, the affiliate may earn a commission. Affiliates must comply with the FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) and the Affiliate Program Terms.
